My grandmother has. She died 2 years ago.
The check was even made out to: “Jane Doe- Diseased”
But nothing for me, or anyone else in my family.

Are you shocked?

Mine showed up a month ago

Imagine all the checks you could cash if you change your name to Jane doe. It's awfully rude of the government to call her diseased btw.

We got ours a couple weeks ago. I had to go to the website to put my bank info in because we owed this year, and then I finally got a date for the deposit.

We got ours direct deposit on day 1.

Got it and spent it. Stimulus engaged.

Please tell me that was a typo on your part, or did it actually say “diseased” instead of “deceased”?

Yup, I have . J ust got it. It’s based on how much you made last year, they are sending batches of checks every two weeks. Since I made less than 20k I was in the second group I believe. My parents probably won't get theirs till like june or july

Yeah, it came last month, though a direct deposit not a check. Have you checked the website for your status? My daughter found out that she had entered her bank account number incorrectly.

The Get My Payment site originally said it couldn’t determine if I were eligible (though the only reason it listed that could apply to me is that I wasn’t). Later I checked back and it said I was eligible, but they didn’t have my info (even though I paid via bank deposit). Now it says I can expect it to be sent electronically 5/13.
It’s not a big deal for me, but when this money is urgently needed by so many people, it seems like mess that they are sending it out in batches instead of as soon as they have the information. Frankly they probably shouldn’t even be waiting for bank info, they should have just started mailing immediately. There’s a shocking lack of urgency for something that was intended as emergency aid for people.

No, but I hadn’t qualified for a tax refund since like 2014 or ‘13 , so my direct deposit info wasn’t on file. I guess I’m getting one eventually, but it will just go into the emergency fund in the event that I find myself facing long term unemployment against a background of total economic and social collapse.

R eceived ours two weeks ago. If you’re expecting a paper check, that’ll take a while longer and goes in order of lowest earners to highest earners. I read somewhere that the top tiers could expect a paper check some time around September.
I added banking info through the IRS’s portal and then waited a couple/few weeks before the funds direct deposited.

My girlfriend received her paper check last week. Mine was a direct deposit and showed up close to a month ago.

Does the physical check have a cer tain someone’s exaggerated signature, or is that just the letter?

I feel like we got lucky. Direct deposit within the first couple days, zero effort on our end. Best of luck

Got the direct deposit a few weeks ago. Sent it to the shelter I adopted my kitty from a few days before.

I make too much.
I am, however, completely irresponsible financially so I don’t actually have any money, so I wouldn’t have minded the check.

I got it a while ago but I did do direct deposit for my taxes.

Still waiting. Direct deposit info shows as correct, no date given yet. Some of us just require more patience, I guess.

Mine was direct deposited on the 2nd or 3rd day after is started.

I got mine, direct-deposit. The whole thing is such a fucking fiasco for anyone who hasn’t, tho. I feel like they sent out enough just to give people hope that they’d follow through, then scratched off the rest.

It was on the letter and not the check itself, at least mine was

Yeah, I hit a brick wall there. I fled NYC for my parents house, and left my checkbook behind ...so I don’t know my bank account or routing #’s. I suppose I could call my bank’s customer service and get it from them, but that requires effort, and it’s much easier just complaining on the internet :)

Makes sense he would use a sharpie to sign.

I got my stimulus money via wire transfer probably a month ago at this point. Was very bummed (not) that it didn’t have his signature. But then I got a letter in the mail telling me that I got a payment signed by his highness. Phew, thank the lord!

Got a direct deposit the day after they started. Already used it up to pay off my roof and put the rest towards my car payment

I shared this with my mom, who had trouble getting her check. This is what she said:
Please tell this person they have only until midnight tomorrow to claim their stimulus.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Tell them to go to Google and type in, Where’s My Check? It will send them to a site where they can enter their banking information. The IRS has gone totally blind to the information it already has from tax filers. It should have their banking information — but it doesn’t. Give them what they ask for — routing number, bank account number, etc. If they don’t do that, they’ll never receive a dime.

I’ve been patiently waiting. Hope it shows up soon,I need new tires.

I had to follow that IRS website link to give them my direct deposit information (since I had filed with Turbo Tax - and I owed $ (no refund this year...). It took about a month but the stimulus payment was finally direct deposited a week ago.

Got it, going to spend it on tools/parts needed for working on the rear drum brakes on my car(2010 Corolla). Also, maybe a toolbox so I can have my tools in one spot.

You need to get them the info by 5/13. They stop trying after that.

Lol, I definitely understand . However, the things I’ve heard of people doing for a Klondike bar... I think taking 3 0 minutes to make a phone call and fill out an online form are worth the payout.

Yes, and they even sent me a paper check, because my bank account changed since I last filed taxes. Still gotta do this year's.
